The village of Kovachevitsa is declared as an architectural and historical reserve in 1977. In it are preserved authentic houses of 18 century, as well as the interesting church "St. Nikola" - built in the middle of the 19th century. The village is very pleasant for walking. You immerse yourselves completely in the atmosphere of bygone times. You can view from inside the typical for Kovachevitsa houses, to eat traditional Bulgarian dishes in any of the rural restaurants or taverns.
From Kovachevitsa begin also 2 interesting tourist routes. The one leads to the "Kozi Kamak" (Goat's stone) locality and the "Sinia vir" (Blue pool) waterfall. The other will lead you to the village of Leshten.
