The Devil's Throat Cave (Dyavolsko garlo Cave)

This cave is called "the mystery of the Rhodope Mountains". It is situated a kilometer and a half from Trigrad and is one of the few our caves, in which the tourists do not enter to watch rock formations. Its opening looks like a devil head with yawning mouth. Through this mouth is flowing out the river of Trigrad and forms the highest underground waterfall in the Balkans. According to the legends, precisely from here Orpheus has descended into the kingdom of Hades, to seek Eurydice.

The cave has several halls, which you can view - mandatory with a tourist guide. The route is secured, and the experience - to enter in the devil's throat - it is worth it.
